Digital Optimisation Manager

Are you passionate about digital marketing and driven by data? You’ll be responsible for driving digital KPI’s, supporting the digital customer journey and helping to deliver the digital roadmap. This is a key role within our marketing team, based at our head office in Nottingham, and will help drive the growing digital success within the business.

What will the role of Digital Optimisation Manager involve?

Working as part of the digital team, you will improve our digital presence through SEM activity, including technical SEO, content creation and PPC activity with agency support. You will provide strategic input and help to deliver the overarching digital roadmap by working alongside Boots, Sonova and our external partners.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and timely reporting of marketing activity including customer insight, to assist with effective planning and forecasting and delivery of future campaigns

  • Analysing report findings to identify key trends/issues that may affect future strategy

  • Building and delivering an optimisation strategy to improve the digital customer journey by using UI/UX Design, CRO and A/B testing techniques

  • Maintenance of the website and ensuring it is kept up to date through new content, asset creation and with any new technological changes

  • Working with the commercial team to develop an e-commerce strategy that grows accessories and sundry sales to budgeted sales and margin requirements

 What will I need to be considered for the role of Digital Optimisation Manager?

  • A positive and dynamic ‘can-do’ attitude

  • Previous demonstrable experience in a digital marketing role

  • Digital marketing knowledge and skills across a mix of online channels

  • Experience with SEO, HTML, CSS and content management is essential

  • Experience with UX/CRO and the Adobe Creative Cloud

  • Strong understanding of analytical software (Google Marketing Platform, Excel)

  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of how e-CRM can evolve to effectively deliver as part of a multi-channel campaign is desirable, however, not essential

  • A degree in marketing would be advantageous, however, not essential

  • A qualification such as CIM or equivalent would be advantageous, however, not essential

Due to the nature of business, successful applicants will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check.

You will be based within a well-established, growing business, where your efforts and performance will be noticed and rewarded.

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 dependent upon current level of experience, plus an annual bonus scheme

Attractive benefits: Up to 18% annual bonus, Boots discount card (after successful completion of 6 months probationary period), pension scheme, life assurance cover, long service awards, and annual leave entitlement starting at 20 days rising with length of service increments to a maximum of 30 days plus bank holidays.

Contract type: Permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week within Monday – Friday. Flexibility towards working hours is essential as this role will require some travel and occasional overnight stays.
